Rainy Day

 

  1. The whole sky was dark. Slowly one or two drops of rain fell to the ground. The downpour was going to be a heavy downpour for a while. Strong winds cause trees to bend. It's beautiful to watch the rainfall. The cold felt by the rain made the whole body tingle. I love the continuous rain and cold in December. The constant rain can be a hindrance to work during the day, but the feeling of cold can keep you refreshed throughout the day. I love looking out the window at the rain. Rain is a cold feeling that can be felt with both eyes closed. I loved it.

  Kandyan tradition is a popular dance tradition in Satkorala, Satarakorala, Udunuwara, Yatinuwara and Harispattuwa.  The main ritual here is the Kohomba Kankari ritual. The main instrument of the Kandyan dance tradition is the knot drum.  The knot drum has a unique shape and sound. The length of the drum is three cubits. The diameter of the drum eye is a wiggle. The main costume of the Kandyan tradition is the mask costume. It is a unique outfit for men.  The main adornment, the veil, is performed in a grand manner and is a very sacred occasion.  It is believed that the artist must have excelled in dance to wear the mask.  It is the same today. The Kohomba Kankari pacifism that  comes here is especially aimed at fertility, protection from disease, and protection of crops. My tradition is also the Kandyan dance tradition.

Trip to Kandy

  Last Monday we went on a trip to Kandy. Our car arrived around 6 a.m.We got into the car with our bags very happily. We reached Mathale at about 8.30 a.m. First, we went to the Aluwiharaya in Mathale. We had our breakfast there. Matale Aluvihara is famous for the compilation of the Tripitaka. It happened during the reign of King Walagamba Then we came to the city and worshiped at the Temple of the Tooth. It houses the right tooth relic of the Supreme Buddha. It is a historical place for Buddhists. After visiting the Temple of the Tooth we came to Nuwara Wewa and fed the fish. About an hour later we went to the flower garden in Peradeniya to have lunch and to have lunch. My two younger sisters, my mother, my brother, and I were all six sitting and eating rice.
